In 2006, I was fortunate to have an experience of a lifetime. Estheticians (such as myself) strive to build a clientele within the realms of our local community. One never dreams of having the ability to work in different cities around the world. Because of my exposure to certain celebrities in the music industry, I was asked to accompany them when they were on tour or in one of their many homes. This brought me to work in locales such as Miami, New York, Detroit, San Francisco, Paris and Egypt. It was an honor and I enjoyed seeing and touching faces with different skin conditions due to their local climate.

After a loyal client moved to Paris, she shared her discouraging experience of trying to find a suitable esthetician for herself. Of course I found this disconcerting, since I always think of Paris as the “Capital of all things related to Beauty”. She expressed to a student of hers that “Nothing compares to the Goddess!!!”.

In January, Tracy Posner, the student, visited LA with a friend of hers named Jean Michel Ete. Jean Michel is known as the healer whom helped Madonna get pregnant her first time. They were staying at the home of musician Sting and Trudy Styler and asked if I would come to give them treatments so they could experience my work. They said they would explain when they met me.

To my surprise, Ms. Posner explained to me that she was working with Sting, Trudy and Madonna on projects which included opening a spa in the middle of an Oasis in Siwa, Egypt as well as on the Champs Elysee’ in Paris. The Adrere Amellal Eco-Lodge is located 80 miles outside of Cairo and on the shores of a salt lake, giving it an image of a true mirage. The resort was designed by an incredible Ecological Engineer who graduated from Columbia University. His intergrity shines throughout, having literally been the only person to buy the land from the Siwan people, instead of stealing it. And he employs only locals to build and work at the resort.

Each and every room and building was designed by hand, drawn on the sand instead of using blueprints. The walls are made of rock salt from the lake and mud. The energy within the walls is incredibly therapeutic due to the salt. The healing energy in my hands never felt so strong.

No two rooms are designed the same, and there is a hot spring fed pool and of course the salt lake which is very similar to the Dead Sea. Every meal is different, with locally grown vegetables and meats. All Organic. Served in the orchard with the calming breezes of the desert air to cool you. Or in the middle of the Desert with a Moroccan style. It is unbelievable.

The reason they flew me there was to introduce skincare to the menu of the spa and add it to Jean Michel’s Medicinal Treatments. It was quite an experience, since there is no electricity at the resort, so my Treatments included only my hands and my potions and lotions. I designed a menu which included both Solar and Lunar Treatments. The Solar Treatments were designed to prepare the skin for the daily sun, and the evening to repair the damage from the sun. The treatments also included Energy Muse Crystal Healing Jewelry to center the nervous system and bring about a sense of well-being. We were a HUGE hit.
